We are delighted to offer this opportunity to join one of the UK's leading managed hosting companies.

We offer managed hosting solutions for any size or type of business - from a single server to complex managed hosting environments. We're looking for additional staff for our Datacentre in Maidenhead who can contribute to our growing success.

The NOC Datacentre IT Engineer role:

> You will be a technically gifted individual
> You will have a great understanding of customer service and a strong desire to get involved in your job and go the extra mile
> You will be used to working on deployments racking, configuring servers etc
> You will be a tech savvy individual with a keen passion to work in an IT environment

NOC Datacentre IT Engineer Required Skills / Experience:

+ Good understanding of server hardware, Dell, HP and Supermicro would be beneficial
+ Basic understanding of Cisco switches and firewall configuration.
+ Installation, configuration and administration of Windows, Linux and Vmware operating systems.
+ Basic understanding of Shared Hosting
+ FTP
+ Subdomains
+ Databases (MYSQL, MSSQL, ACCESS)
+ Basic understanding of Domains
+ Whois Lookups
+ Nameserver amendments
+ Transfer Status
+ Basic understanding or control panels i.e. Plesk and cPanel
+ Experience of shift working in a 24x7 environment , preferably within a Datacentre
+ Technical customer support or Helpdesk experience
+ Delivering second to none customer care

NOC Datacentre IT Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Some of the responsibilities of this position are:

+ Helping customers resolve their technical issues via ticket/telephone and escalating support requests whenever necessary
+ Installing and modifying data floor equipment in line with company standards, e.g., racks, switches, power bars, controllers, making, terminating and testing cables etc
+ Server configuration and network support/administration
+ Managing Backups
+ Monitoring networks and servers
+ Managing tasks in the Datacentre environment and liaising with maintenance personnel
