My client, a leading British Bank, are looking for an Actuarial Manager to join their With-Profits team on a long-term contractual basis, based in Bristol.
The With-Profits Team are responsible for explaining and analysing the model results in respect of two with-profits funds in the client's insurance division.
This analysis supports both regulatory and internal management reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual cycle and covers both IFRS and Solvency II.
The successful Actuarial Manager will manage regulatory reporting outputs with the with-profits funds, provide input to the banks results, investment strategy and support the bonus rate review decisions.
As part of the change agenda, the successful Actuarial Manager will develop the model and implement improvements into the existing production process - including the migration of the client's model from Moses to Prophet ALS - and the implementation of Proxy Modelling capability.
It is expected that the successful Actuarial Manager will have a background in Prophet ALS development.
It is likely that the successful Actuarial Manager will be a qualified or nearly qualified actuary.
Successful Actuarial Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
A strong knowledge of common actuarial terms and processes within a life insurance environment including the common characteristics of With Profits.
A strong knowledge of Prophet ALS
Previous experience of defining and documenting financial process requirements
Experience of communicating model results to key stakeholders
Experience of scoping model developments, including recommending optimum solutions Desirable Knowledge Attributes
Previous experience of coding or investigating Prophet ALS
Previous knowledge of Economic Scenario Generators
A fair knowledge of current ins
